Enlit Africa 2027 opens call for practical energy and water contributions

Speaker submissions have opened for Enlit Africa 2027, which returns to the CTICC in Cape Town from 11 to 13 May 2027.

The event is seeking practical contributions from utilities, project owners, developers, IPPs, commercial and industrial energy users, municipalities, policymakers, regulators, financiers, researchers and industry practitioners. Organisers say preference will be given to submissions that share measurable outcomes, implementation lessons and experience that can be applied elsewhere.

The 2027 programme will cover generation, transmission and distribution, municipal electricity and water management, technical developments in power systems, water security, project finance, renewable energy and storage.

Suggested contributions include projects already being implemented or developed, problems organisations have solved, lessons from implementation, new research, financing and commercial models, technologies operating in real-world conditions and policy or regulatory changes with practical implications.

Abstracts should be between 300 and 500 words. The submission deadline is 29 January 2027, with speaker feedback scheduled between 7 December 2026 and 5 February 2027.

Enlit Africa is created by VUKA Group and brings together participants across Africa’s power, energy and water sectors. Visit https://wearevuka.com/energy/enlit-africa/ for more information.
