Consultancy wins prestigious awards

- Advertisment -

Aurecon, in a recent national survey of consulting engineers undertaken by the management journal Professional Management Review Africa, achieved six awards in various consulting engineering sectors, all of which were Diamond Arrow Awards – signifying “highest rated in sector”. In determining the awards, the journal conducted 135 interviews to obtain the opinions of key decision makers and professionals in South Africa’s built environment, including architects, contractors, developers and quantity surveyors. The interviews sought to obtain ranked perceptions of the performance of companies across a range of attributes, including Black Economic Empowerment; capacity to understand projects; competitive pricing; expertise/knowledge; problem solving; quality management system; reliability; reputation; resources; responsiveness, skills and qualifications of personnel; technical competence; timeous completion; and understanding and commitment to the clients’ interests.

According to this survey, the company received awards for the following sectors:

  • Civil consulting engineers
  • Structural consulting engineers
  • Combined civil and structural consulting engineers
  • Electrical consulting engineers
  • Mechanical consulting engineers
  • Combined electrical and mechanical consulting engineers

Albert Geldenhuys, the company’s managing director, says that these awards are a good measure of both technical excellence and brand awareness, and of the level of service the company offers its clients and its ability to serve its clients’ best interests. He added that the company is humbled by the fact that its clients recognise its dedication and commitment to these aims.
